Salary: £34,000 - £36,000

 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery and lead a dedicated team in delivering outstanding early years education and care. The nursery provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 4 years, ensuring they receive the highest quality care and education. As Nursery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, inspiring staff, and fostering a positive, enriching experience for both children and families.

 

About You

  • Level 3 Qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) – essential.
  • Proven Experience working within a nursery setting, with a strong understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Leadership Skills with the ability to manage, inspire, and develop a team.
  • Excellent Communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Regulatory Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and early years statutory requirements.
  • Financial Acumen with experience in managing budgets and resources efficiently.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Leadership & Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for children and staff.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and support a team of early years professionals, encouraging collaboration and professional growth.
  • Curriculum & Learning: Develop and implement an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that nurtures children's learning, curiosity, and emotional development.
  • Parent Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and fostering an open, supportive partnership.
  • Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure all safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations, and statutory requirements are met to maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Administrative & Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, occupancy levels, and administrative tasks, including record-keeping, assessments, and progress reports.
