What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a professional kitchen
  • Experience in care home or healthcare catering is highly desirable
  • Confidence in planning menus for various dietary needs (e.g., IDDSI, allergen-aware)
  • Strong attention to detail, food hygiene, and safety standards
  • A warm, team-focused approach with a passion for supporting others
  • Creative flair and a genuine love for preparing nutritious meals that residents enjoy

Why Apply?

  • Work in a new, state-of-the-art luxury care home
  • Make a genuine difference in residents’ lives through quality food and hospitality
  • Two-stage interview including a skills-based cooking demo
  • Long-term development and training opportunities
  • Supportive, inclusive workplace culture
  • Access to online discounts and employee benefits
  • Comprehensive wellbeing programme

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen efficiently and safely
  • Prepare high-quality meals that meet residents’ individual needs
  • Mentor and support junior kitchen staff
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, temperature logs, etc.)
  • Contribute to seasonal and themed menu development
  • Oversee stock control and minimise food waste
