Care Home Chef

£31,000 | 40 Hours Per Week

 

Our client, a compassionate and well-respected care home, is seeking a talented Chef to join their team. Set in a beautiful manor house, this welcoming home provides high-quality care for older adults, offering a warm and comfortable environment where residents feel truly at home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to bring their culinary expertise to a setting where great food plays a vital role in well-being.

 

As a Chef will be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious meals that cater to a variety of dietary needs, ensuring residents enjoy both the taste and health benefits of every dish. Working 40 hours per week over four days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM), including alternate weekends, this role offers a great work-life balance in a rewarding environment.

 

What You’ll Need

  • A Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Experience as a Chef in healthcare or hospitality settings
  • A recognised cooking qualification
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements
  • A passion for creating meals that bring comfort and enjoyment
  • A clear DBS

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals that meet nutritional and dietary requirements
  • Plan menus that consider resident preferences and special diets
  • Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards in line with regulations
  • Work collaboratively with care teams to support residents’ well-being through food
  • Ensure a well-organized and efficient kitchen
