Clinical Lead Nurse

28 hours per week – Short Shifts | £22–£25 per hour

Working 28 hours per week across short shifts, as a Clinical Lead Nurse you will play a key role in supporting and developing the nursing team, while upholding high standards of care and clinical practice. This is a supernumerary position, meaning your time will be focused on leadership, mentoring, and ensuring best practices.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with valid NMC registration
  • Proven experience and strong knowledge of care planning and risk assessments
  • Robust clinical skills and a desire to share knowledge and mentor others
  • Experience in a nursing home or similar setting is preferred
  • A confident communicator with a warm, supportive approach
  • Someone passionate, proactive, and excited to grow within the role
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative and respectful environment

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing and care team
  • Take a lead on care planning and risk assessments, ensuring they are accurate, up to date, and person-centred
  • Support with clinical audits, training, and quality improvement
  • Act as a role model for excellent care delivery and team collaboration
  • Assist in managing care documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere for residents and staff alike
  • Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external partners
