Clinical Lead Nurse
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
Hours: 42 hours per week (clinical shifts + protected leadership time)
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Our client, a well-established and beautifully presented nursing and residential care home, is looking for a compassionate and skilled Clinical Lead Nurse (RGN) to join their leadership team.

As the Clinical Lead Nurse, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are maintained across the service, supporting residents and staff alike.

 

The Clinical Lead Nurse will work predominantly on clinical shifts, with protected hours allocated for leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance. This role is ideal for a Senior Nurse, Deputy Nurse Manager, or existing Clinical Lead Nurse ready to take the next step in a values-driven setting.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • RGN qualified with a valid NMC PIN
  • Strong clinical background, ideally with experience as a Senior Nurse, Deputy Nurse Manager, or Clinical Lead Nurse
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and decision-making skills
  • A genuine passion for elderly care and person-centred nursing
  • Confidence in managing complex clinical needs and supporting staff development

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the nursing team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Monitor clinical standards, ensuring compliance with CQC and safeguarding regulations
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and medication management
  • Provide hands-on clinical support where needed across the home
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, promoting learning and excellence
  • Act as a positive role model for both staff and residents
  • Collaborate with external professionals and families to ensure holistic care
  • Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and clinical governance
