Deputy Nurse Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week - including 12 hours clinical
Hourly Rate: £24
Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join their team at a reputable nursing home. The Deputy Nurse Manager will collaborate closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to the residents and provide leadership and support to the nursing staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for providing person-centred care.
What We’re Looking For
- Active registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a nursing home or similar healthcare setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current best practices in nursing care
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of resident care and safety
- Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and legislation pertaining to the healthcare industry

Responsibilities
- Assisting the Nurse Manager in the overall management and supervision of the nursing team
- Providing clinical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff
- Ensuring that care plans are accurately maintained and implemented in accordance with residents' needs
- Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided, making recommendations for improvement as necessary
- Overseeing medication management and administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote a holistic approach to resident care
- Participating in staff training, development, and performance management
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
