Healthcare Assistant
37.5 hours per week
Salary: From £12.50 per hour + enhancements for bank holidays

 

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our client’s team. Our client provides specialist care for adults with neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries, offering a supportive environment that promotes recovery, independence, and dignity.

 

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and have experience working in healthcare settings, ideally in specialist areas such as Neuro or Palliative care.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably within a specialist service
  • Understanding of key healthcare legislation and its practical applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • A compassionate approach with the ability to support individuals in distress

Responsibilities

  • Support the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of personalised care under supervision or within your competency level
  • Maintain high standards of care by following best practice guidelines and supporting continuous staff development
  • Communicate effectively with the team and report changes in service users’ conditions promptly
  • Promote choice and encourage service user feedback to ensure their voices are central to care planning
  • Help maintain a safe working environment by raising concerns and adhering to policies and procedures
  • Carry out additional reasonable duties to ensure the smooth running of the service
