Nursery Room Leader – Baby Room
Salary: £31,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent | All year round
Our client, a well-established and nurturing nursery setting, is seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to take the lead in their baby room.
This role is ideal for a qualified Level 3 practitioner who has hands-on experience working with babies and is ready to take the next step in their early years career. The successful candidate will lead a small team, providing high-quality care in a calm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for children.
What We’re Looking For:
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with babies in a nursery or similar early years setting.
- Prior experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role (desirable but not essential).
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and safeguarding practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, team-oriented approach.
- A genuine passion for early years education and supporting the youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the baby room team, creating a nurturing and safe environment for infants.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging activities that support holistic development.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with babies and their families.
- Monitor and record each child’s progress, contributing to learning journals and reports.
- Support and mentor junior staff within the room, promoting best practice.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and compliance with all nursery policies.
