Mental Health Nurse/RMN

Salary: Up to £44,000

Day Shifts, Full-Time

Our client is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join their team in a secure rehabilitation service. This is a full-time, day-shift role offering competitive pay of up to £44,000 per annum and is the perfect opportunity for someone with a passion for mental health and rehabilitation.

 

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering exceptional care to individuals within a locked rehabilitation setting. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the recovery journey of patients, ensuring their independence and well-being while adhering to the highest standards of care.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Active NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
  • Previous experience in in-patient or secure mental health settings (e.g. lor or medium secure units, PICU and Forensic Wards)
  • Experience managing patients detained under the Mental Health Act
  • Experience
  • Supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.
  • Knowledge of current mental health legislation and best practice guidelines
  • A holistic and compassionate approach to patient care
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach
  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact on patients’ lives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver holistic, individualised care to patients with mental health and rehabilitation needs
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement care plans
  • Monitor and support patients' physical and mental well-being
  • Ensure compliance with current mental health legislation and nursing best practices
  • Promote recovery, independence, and well-being for every individual in your care
  • Contribute to a supportive, caring, and effective team environment
