Service Manager - Supported Housing / Homelessness Service

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Up to £39,000 

 

Our client is currently looking for compassionate and skilled Service Manager to lead their Supported Housing/Homelessness services in the Bury St Edmunds area. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a high-quality support service for individuals experiencing homelessness, ensuring they receive the support and assistance they need to rebuild their lives.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within a similar service, with a strong understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
  • Compassionate, caring, and hardworking with a hands-on approach to support.
  • Ability to work in a personalized way, supporting service users to maximize personal development opportunities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with partners and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • A full valid driving license, as travel is a requirement for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and external agencies 
  • Maintaining health and safety within the services 
  • Carrying out recruitment for the service
  • Overseeing financial performance and managing the budgets 
  • Ensuring that KPI's are met and overachieved  
  • Overseeing the overall delivery of the services
