Job description

Care Home Manager

£60,000 per annum | Residential & Dementia Care

Our client, a trusted and values-led care provider, is looking for an experienced and motivated Care Home Manager to oversee two small, well-established services offering residential and dementia care. These homes are more than just places to live—they are communities where older adults are supported to live with dignity, purpose, and joy.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated leader who is ready to take the reins of two homes and continue their journey towards excellence, with a strong focus on quality care and positive outcomes.

As Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and operational performance of both services. With a strong team already in place, your role will be to lead, inspire, and ensure the delivery of outstanding care, while driving continuous improvement across both homes.

This role is ideal for someone with vision, resilience, and a passion for creating high-quality, person-centred environments for older adults, including those living with dementia.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current or recent experience as a Registered Care Home Manager

  • Level 5 in Health and Social Care

  • A proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding CQC ratings

  • Strong knowledge of dementia care and residential care standards

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • A clear understanding of regulatory, compliance, and safeguarding frameworks

  • Commercial awareness and business acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and drive performance

  • A compassionate, forward-thinking approach to care

What’s on Offer?

In return for your leadership and dedication, this service offers a generous package, including:

  • £60,000 annual salary

  • Competitive annual leave allowance

  • Company pension scheme

  • Bonus scheme to reward excellence and achievement

  • Supportive senior leadership and the autonomy to shape service delivery

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership across two small residential and dementia care services

  • Maintain and improve standards of care, ensuring homes meet and exceed CQC regulations

  • Manage staffing, budgets, and resources to ensure financial sustainability and high-quality service delivery

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and the wider community

  • Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of kindness, accountability, and excellence

  • Lead on audits, action planning, and service development initiatives

  • Ensure the homes operate smoothly, safely, and in line with best practices in dementia care
